Jackie Maffucci and Vivian Levén own and operate Positive Dog Solutions, a dog behavior consulting business. They are experienced and devoted behavior consultants, passionate about dog behavior, animal welfare, and teaching people about dogs. They draw inspiration from sharing their knowledge and experience to resolve behavior problems and furthering strong relationships between people and their dogs. They follow proven, positive and practical solutions with a collective 30+ years of experience in the field.

Jackie and Vivian work on any type of behavior problems including serious aggression. They are active in the rescue community where they conduct dog behavior evaluations and offer coaching services to rescue groups and their volunteers. They also work with clients involved in legal actions due to dog related incidents, conducting behavior assessments and giving expert testimony.

Jackie holds a B.S. from Cornell University in Animal Science and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from The University of Texas at Austin.  Vivian holds a master's degree in conflict resolution from the Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University.

In-Home Behavior Consultations

Positive Dog Solutions will give you the support and tools you need to resolve challenging behavior problems in your dog. They will help you understand canine behavior so you can see the issues from your dog's point of view; they will teach you how to change your dog's behavior; and will show you ways to manage challenging situations as they happen. Their goal is to change unwanted behavior and help you build a strong and healthy relationship between you and your dog. 

Consult includes: 

  1. Questionnaire before the consult
  2. 2 hour in-person consult 
  3. Detailed written plan as your road map to follow after the consult
  4. Summarry report sent to veterinarian (optional)
  5. 1 follow-up phone consult (15 minutes)
  6. 2 months of support via text, phone and e-mail

Consultation Fee: $​250 (2 hours)
Follow-up Consultation Fee: $125 (60 minutes)
