Although we were unable to gather together in person, we can continue the spirit of the conference by sharing resources and continuing to build a stronger community of animal welfare professionals in our region. The Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA), the Professional Animal Workers of Maryland (PAWS) and St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center are excited to share our regional toolkit that includes valuable resources to support you and your organization during this challenging time.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.
The Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA), Professional Animal Workers of Maryland (PAWS), and St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center are embarking on this collaborative effort to affect positive change in the Mid-Atlantic region. As noted previously, there are very few training opportunities for our animal control agencies and even fewer conferences with a focus on fieldwork and day-to-day shelter operations. Because we believe that coalition building is the key to success, this conference seeks to help agency leadership provide useful education and professional development, while also fostering a culture of collaboration and relationship building between agency teams.
