DC resident sentenced in horrific animal cruelty investigation

Antonio Jacobs of Washington, D.C. was sentenced on Sept. 25 to serve 15 months in jail and three years of supervised release after pleading guilty to felony cruelty to animals on July 27. The sentence follows a Humane Rescue Alliance-led investigation. A Humane Rescue Alliance investigation into suspected animal cruelty in SE DC led to the rescue of 36 dogs and six rabbits today under a search and seizure warrant obtained by HRA Humane Law Enforcement officers.
