Update on Godiva's Kidnapped Puppies - September 23, 2022
Last night, we reunited a FIFTH puppy in Godiva’s litter, named Oli, with his mom and siblings. We’ll work with the family who brought Oli in to return him to them once he’s older and strong enough to be separated from Godiva.

Each reunion brings happy tears to our eyes and gives us renewed hope that the remaining puppies will be reunited with Godiva and their brothers and sister.
Last month we found sweet Godiva tied to a pole – abandoned and alone. Her seven 3 ½-week-old puppies had been kidnapped, ripped away from her, and denied their right to grow up with and learn from their mother and siblings during their critical developmental period. It shattered our hearts, and we vowed to do everything we could to reunite the entire family.

We are still looking for two of Godiva’s seven puppies, and we’re offering a reward of up to $7,500 for information leading to their location or safe return.

Update on Godiva's Kidnapped Puppies - September 20, 2022
Last night, we reunited Apollo, a fourth puppy in Godiva’s litter, with her and his siblings. Apollo was brought in to HRA with his favorite toy, lamb chop, which quickly became a favorite among the whole family.

We’ll be working with the family who unsuspectingly purchased Apollo to return him to them once he is older and strong enough to be separated from Godiva and his littermates.
We are still looking for three of Godiva’s puppies. Included below are photos from when they were newborns.

Update on Godiva's Kidnapped Puppies - September 17, 2022
Today we reunited Link, another one of Godiva’s kidnapped puppies, with his mom and two siblings after a community member who unsuspectingly purchased him brought him to HRA.

We’ll be working with the family to return Link to them once he is older and strong enough to be separated from Godiva and his littermates. They will also receive a reward for coming forward.
While we take a sigh of relief each time one of Godiva’s puppies is brought in, we’re worried sick over the four puppies who are still missing and who desperately need to be with their mother during this critical developmental period.
We’re offering a reward of up to $7,500 for information leading to the location of or the safe return of any of the missing puppies.

Update on Godiva's Kidnapped Puppies - September 15, 2022
The Humane Rescue Alliance is now caring for one of the six kidnapped puppies after a member of our community caught wind of the puppy’s backstory from news reports. The community member will receive a reward for coming forward.
Veterinarians with HRA examined the puppy, named Aries, and determined he was relatively healthy. Aries was reunited with Godiva and his sister, Glitter.
Both siblings will benefit from growing up together during their formative years and won’t experience the trauma of being separated from mom too early in their life. We desperately want this for the rest of Godiva’s puppies who have been robbed of this.

We’re hopeful this will inspire others who might have information to come forward for both the welfare of the puppies, and peace of mind for our community and staff. HRA is still searching for the remaining five puppies and is offering a reward of up to $7,500 for information leading to the location of or the safe return of any of the missing puppies.

The Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA) is seeking the safe return of six vulnerable puppies who need their mother, siblings and follow up veterinary care for the sake of their current and future health. HRA is offering a reward to make this possible.
The public’s help is needed urgently. The puppies were kidnapped from HRA, separated from their mother at the extremely vulnerable age of three-and-a-half-weeks, and potentially sold or given to unsuspecting buyers or adopters. They are now about five weeks old, and if they are not reunited with their mother and siblings immediately, they will be at risk.

HRA is offering a reward of up to $7,500 for information leading to the location of or the safe return of any of the six missing puppies.
When we originally picked up their mother, Godiva, in mid-July, she was visibly pregnant and severely malnourished. Because a malnourished mother and her puppies are more at risk, our staff were concerned about their welfare and long-term health. To provide the best care for Godiva and ensure her puppies could thrive throughout and after birth, we immediately gave Godiva the best care and nutrition possible for a successful pregnancy and birth.

In early August, 1-year-old Godiva gave birth to a large litter of seven puppies. She and her puppies were transferred to a foster home where they could spend their critical growth period together in a more ideal environment than the shelter.
Later that month, HRA received a call about a dog who was tied to a pole. The abandoned dog was Godiva. Puppies need their mothers and siblings until they are 8 to 10 weeks old, and we are desperately concerned.
Over the weekend, our humane law enforcement officers executed a search and seizure warrant at the address where the puppies were suspected of living, but only found one of Godiva’s seven puppies. This lone puppy was reunited with Godiva and is now in the care of HRA.
To ensure the health of Godiva’s missing six puppies, HRA needs to speak with anyone who might have information regarding the whereabouts of any of the puppies or with those who might have been given or purchased one of Godiva’s puppies. Anyone who unsuspectingly bought or was given one of Godiva’s puppies will not be held liable. Again, we are offering a reward of up to $7,500 for any information that leads to the location and/or safe return of these infants.
