The Humane Rescue Alliance has been awarded a $500,000 grant from the Petco Foundation to support HRA’s lifesaving programs and services.
The Petco Foundation investment will help HRA support families by increasing the organization’s capacity to provide affordable veterinary care, enforce humane laws, respond to animal emergencies and concerns, provide animals from overcrowded shelters in the South a chance at adoption, and deliver care and basic needs to pets of underserved families.
“We are honored to receive a $500,000 grant from the Petco Foundation to benefit the people and animals of our community and beyond,” said Lisa LaFontaine, president and CEO of the Humane Rescue Alliance. “Our work would not be possible without the support of generous partners that care deeply about our mission of protecting animals, supporting families, and advocating for positive change to create a world where all animals can thrive.”
“The Petco Foundation is proud to partner with organizations, like the Humane Rescue Alliance, that share our commitment to creating a lifesaving nation,” said Susanne Kogut, president of the Petco Foundation. “We are encouraged to see organizations like HRA extend their lifesaving efforts to underserved families and surrounding communities in need. By working together, we can create a better world for pets and the people who care for them.”
