Humane Rescue Alliance President and CEO Lisa LaFontaine announced today that the organization has named Kim Keller to the position of Chief Development Officer. Keller will oversee the organization’s development department and will help guide all aspects of the organization’s fundraising.
“We are thrilled to welcome Kim Keller to the Humane Rescue Alliance,” said LaFontaine. “Kim is an exceptionally seasoned professional, and as we enter a very exciting time in our organization’s evolution, her extensive experience with philanthropy and stakeholder relationships will put us in exceptionally good hands.”
Keller comes to the Humane Rescue Alliance from the National Audubon Society where she was the national organization’s Vice President of Development and Principal Gifts. Keller managed Audubon’s portfolio of high-capacity donors and secured ten transformative gifts of at least $1 million from individual and foundation donors.
Prior to her tenure at Audubon, she was Regional Vice President at Community Counseling Service (CCS), one of the region’s top capital campaign and development firms. At CCS, Keller managed numerous capital campaigns ranging from $3 million to more than $65 million and directed a team of campaign consultants.
Keller said “I am delighted to join HRA. This is an incredible opportunity to make a difference for people and animals in the nation’s capital and beyond.”
Keller received her Bachelor’s Degree from Michigan State University and a Master’s and Ph.D. from Indiana University.
