On the morning of February 2, 2020 the Humane Rescue Alliance responded to 1900 Block of 19th Street NW regarding a squirrel that was caught in a Conibear Trap, and could not escape. This style of trap crushes the animal’s body when triggered, and are illegal to use in the District of Columbia.
The Humane Rescue Alliance desperately needs the help of the community for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this horrific act of animal cruelty. The Humane Rescue Alliance is offering a $5,000 reward that will be given to any person who provides such information.
