Yesterday, HRA Humane Law Enforcement officers executed a search warrant in the District which resulted in the seizure of 21 animals living in inadequate and unsanitary conditions. Ten dogs, seven turtles of various sizes and breeds, including a snapping turtle, three toads and a snake were found in a three-story townhouse. The dogs were found in crates on every level of the home with urine and feces throughout. The case is currently under investigation by HRA Humane Law Enforcement.
