Meow DC is the District's first event of its kind, celebrating cats and cat lovers! Taking place at Dock 5 at Union Market on April 27, cat fanatics and animal enthusiasts alike will enjoy vendor booths, adoptable animals, demonstrations, and giveaways. Don't be afraid to wear your fandom on your sleeve. Come dressed in your favorite cat-themed clothes and you could win a prize for "Most Enthusiastic Cat Lover!"
Here are six reasons you don't want to miss this pawsome event, benefiting the Humane Rescue Alliance!
With 50+ vendors, guests won't have to look far for animal-related entertainment. Our booths include veterinarians, artists, clothing shops (for you and your cats!), podcasts, pet stores, and more. There will truly be something for everybody.
Come for the cat gear, stay for the informational presentations! Meow DC will host 10 industry leaders, including kitten-specific nonproftis, cat behaviorists, and HRA experts leading our cat-related programs.
This is your opportunity to say hello and take a photo with Instagram-famous Sunglass Cat (aka Bagel). Get your Meet & Greet ticket today and reserve your spot to cuddle this incredible kitty. Bagel is generously donating all proceeds from each ticket to the Humane Rescue Alliance.
Love cats but don't have one of your own? HRA is excited to be hosting the area's largest cat adoption event onsite at Meow DC, which will include shelters and rescues from across the region.
Meow DC isn't just for adult cat lovers! Kids will have their own area with cat-themed arts, crafts, and activities. This event is for the whole family! Kids under age ? are free.
Let's keep the party going at The Pub and the People, DC's ultimate neighborhood bar. The event starts at 5 p.m. and a portion of your drink and food orders will go directly toward HRA. Good food, great drinks, and even better company - all in support of the District's cats? Count us in!
