Tavone Brown of Washington, DC was arrested Wednesday on a warrant obtained by Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA) Humane Law Enforcement Officers for felony animal fighting. Mr. Brown was taken into custody by the Metropolitan Police Department.

James Johnson of Laurel, MD, was arrested today on a warrant obtained by Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA) Humane Law Enforcement Officers for animal cruelty. The Humane Rescue Alliance offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of a man seen in surveillance video striking a dog, pulling her from under a car, and leaving her in a liquor store parking lot. Information provided by the public led HRA Humane Law Enforcement Officers to Mr. Johnson.

Jonathon Lamarr Little was arrested on a warrant obtained by Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA) Humane Law Enforcement Officers and charged with animal cruelty. Mr. Little turned himself in yesterday to the US Marshals Service and was arraigned today in Superior Court District of Columbia.

On Tuesday, November 6 the Humane Rescue Alliance received an anonymous tip that lead officers to the picnic area of Langdon Park NE in Washington, DC where they discovered a pit bull type dog deceased and abandoned. The dog was most likely left at the location late Monday (November 5) or early Tuesday morning (November 6) before 9:30 a.m. The location of the park is the 2900 block of 20 th Street, NE.
