Caring Kids Winter Day Camp

02/21/2019, 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Humane Rescue Alliance | 71 Oglethorpe St. NW, Washington, DC 20011 map

Description:

The Day of Dogs (and a few cats, too) events provide middle school students with an opportunity to surround themselves with dogs while learning what they can do to make the world a better place for animals. Fifth, sixth, and seventh graders will meet shelter alumni, partake in a mini-dog training exercise, and watch the popular “dancing dogs” performance. In addition, participants will make toys for shelter animals, create a long list of names to be used for future shelter animals, and explore other ways that they can help HRA help the animals.
