PSA Star Glee Available for Adoption

Last year the Humane Rescue Alliance enlisted the assistance of Washington Nationals All-Star Max Scherzer to encourage the public to adopt rescue animals, like Glee.

During the video, Scherzer explains to viewers that every rescue animal has a story and describes Glee’s journey from the streets of Birmingham to an overcrowded Alabama shelter and finally to the Humane Rescue Alliance. Scherzer explains that rescue animals are often simply the victims of bad luck, but they have “lots of love to give” and he encourages the public to be a part of a rescue animal’s story.

“Animals – and especially rescue animals – are an important part of our lives,” said Scherzer. “My wife Erica and I are proud to work with the Humane Rescue Alliance to help find homes for the dogs and cats that so desperately need them.”

Shortly after the taping of the PSA, Glee, who was five months old at the time, was adopted by a loving family in Washington, DC. Unfortunately, Glee was the victim of some more bad luck when her family recently moved and weren't able to take sweet Glee with them. Having just celebrated her first birthday, Glee is hoping to find a new home where she can continue to thrive.

Be a part of Glee's story and meet, adopt, and go home with her today from our New York Avenue adoption center. humanerescuealliance.org/adopt
