Art and Animals Kids Camp

At just one-year-old, Bippy came to the Humane Rescue Alliance in rough shape. She was found outside, alone, and underweight. Despite her background, this petite lady is as charming as they come, and quickly became a favorite of not only Humane Rescue Alliance staff, but of 10-year-old Liam, a recent participant in HRA’s Animals and Art Caring Kids Camp. The week-long summer camp allows students the opportunity to learn about the work of the Humane Rescue Alliance, along with an introduction to studio art, directed by local artist Paula Liz Torres.

For their final project, each camper painted a portrait of their favorite adoptable animal. Liam’s painting perfectly captures Bippy’s beautiful green eyes and tuxedo coloring. "Liam loved Bippy and even made her a special toy to play with," said HRA’s Director of Humane Education, Debbie Duel.

We love Bippy too, and would be thrilled to help this sweet girl find a loving, new home to call her own. If you think she’s the right match for you, meet her today at HRA’s Oglethorpe Street adoption center. humanerescuealliance.org/adopt
